03 · DESCRIPTION

Purpose and operating principle

In a single-stage scheme, the heat carrier from the district network heats DHW in a single pass through a plate heat exchanger. It is used at facilities with steady consumption and a relatively flat DHW load profile over 24 hours. Outlet temperature is regulated by a motorised valve driven by a temperature sensor. Circulation-pump control is on/off, variable-frequency, or variable-frequency per pump (VFD-per-pump).
